Thanksgiving 2009

We've had a great Thanksgiving week with family. First stop was Lafayette where Lukas met his aunt Janet and Rob for the first time and had some quality time with Papa Choo Choo and Grande. We continued on to Santa Cruz for Thanksgiving with the Meditz family and his first time meeting Ann, Tony & Jeannie. Lukas loved all the attention from all of his relatives throughout the week!

One Month Old

We can't believe Lukas is already a month old. In that time he has won our hearts and grown quite a bit. He has grown a whole inch and gained over two pounds. We are also seeing more smiles and hearing more coos with each day that passes. His favorite past time is laying on the bed - here are a few pics of him on the bed after bath time today.

Cheers to Andrew!

We were so excited to hear that Andrew passed the California State Bar last night. Lukas and Andrew shared a toast to celebrate the occasion. Congratulations Andrew for a job well done! We are so proud of you.

Napping in the Sun

We get some great morning sun in our living room every morning. I'm not sure who enjoys napping in the sun more - Jordi or Lukas!

Lukas and Elie meet!

My cousin Jeff and his wife Kate had their baby girl Elie just a short time after Lukas was born. The third cousins "met" in Davis...although neither of them actually opened their eyes during the three hour visit! We had a nice walk on the Davis Greenbelt and both babies slept peacefully the whole time.

Cousins!

Lukas met cousins Peter, Lauren, Ava and Nate for the first time this past weekend. He also met his Uncle Matt. His cousins were so gentle when they held Lukas and so good at passing him around! They are going to be great playmates for Lukas when he gets a little bit older. My sister Elaine also gave Lukas a case of the giggles. She is the baby whisperer!

We are Family

My dad took this photo of us before we went to Josselyn & Matt's wedding in San Francisco. It was our first night leaving Lukas since he was born! We knew he was in very good hands with Grandma Grande and Papa Choo Choo.

Apple Hill

Today we took our first day trip as a family to Apple Hill. We ate pie at a bake shop, had a little lunch at a German restaurant and hit up a couple wineries. Lukas was the perfect baby all day -- he slept and let mommy and daddy have a very nice date.

Aunt Elaine found this cute sleeper for Lukas. Tie dye never looked so good!

First Party!

Today we celebrated the end of Erin's residency at The Shack. Lukas slept through most of the celebration but woke up just in time to be held by the guest of honor. She was his first visitor at the hospital as she was doing rounds about 4 hours before he arrived! The other babies attending were Kaia (with mom Tracy) and Luke (with mom Kim).
